Launch of the largest practical education program in the Polish bio sector

Polpharma Biologics has inaugurated the first edition of BIO Academy (BIO Akademia), the largest practical education program in the Polish bio sector. It is a unique teaching program, designed specifically for current and future employees in the field of biotechnology. Participants in the project gain targeted knowledge and practical skills in specific areas of biotechnology, and learn more about the methods used in the company.

Piotr Zień, responsible for the set up and patronage of the program says: “The goal of the BIO Academy is to continually improve employees’ knowledge and skills, and to teach a proactive attitude focused on developing and improving everyday work in the area of biotechnology development and production.”

During the 15-week course, we offer our students a variety of learning tools, including lectures, workshops, on-the-job training in specially designed laboratories, e-learning courses, tutorials and instructional videos. All materials and lectures are prepared internally by Polpharma Biologics experts, who share their know-how with participants.

In this edition of the program, there are 46 participants from different departments of the Polpharma group. Our plan for the following editions is to eventually train 600 people within the next 3-5 years.
