Cooperation agreement between Polpharma Biologics and the University of Warsaw

Opublikowany: 26.08.2020

Representatives of Polpharma Biologics and the University of Warsaw signed on August 25th an agreement concerning academic, scientific and technological cooperation. The joint activities will include training of specialists who in the future will find employment in modern laboratories like those in our company. The cooperation will also include joint research projects.

This cooperation is another step towards creating a common platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between the world of science and business, as well as the development of a training method for biotechnology specialists in Poland and Europe. The first results of the cooperation will be available in spring 2021.

“We are very pleased with the signing of the contract with the University of Warsaw. Polpharma Biologics employs the best specialists from around the world, enabling the transfer of know-how and professional development in the biotechnology sector on an unprecedented scale in Poland. Last year alone, we employed over 200 people, and by the end of 2020 we are recruiting another 270 people. We have been cooperating with the Medical University of Gdańsk for a long time. The contract establishing cooperation with the University of Warsaw is another step toward building a platform for the exchange of unique knowledge and experience. Biotechnology cannot be learned only from textbooks – the critical element is practical experience in the laboratory and on the production line, and no one in Poland knows this as well as we do. We consider sharing this knowledge, at the level of cooperation with research centers and through internship programs, an investment in the biotechnology sector in Poland, which is being built almost from scratch”

says Agnieszka Kosowska, General Counsel, Head of legal affairs and external relations at Polpharma Biologics.
